To get the dimensions for your new sofa cushions, we recommend that you remove the old cushions from the covers. Now take the cover and measure it from seam to seam across the cushion cover each way. To get the measurement of the side, you’ll need to again measure from seam to seam. Now add around 10mm to 25 mm to account for the compression of the cushion when it’s inside the cover. If you need help with any of this, you can always call us for further information, or you can check out our guide on measuring for sofa cushions.

What is a stockinette?

This is what you’ll find the sofa cushions encased in and it makes it easier to insert them into their cover. It’s your choice whether you want this to be part of your order, but we do recommend it. Dacron wrap and stockinette are used for seating cushions. The dacron wrap - also known as poly fibre or wadding - is joined to the foam and provides a fuller-looking cushion and protects the foam, therefore, prolonging the life of the foam. The stockinette is undercover made from very fine polyester netting and makes it much easier to fit the foam cushions into outer covers.

Do you sell Dacron?

When you ask for stockinette, we will normally ask you if you want Dacron too. This is another addition to cushions that make it easier to insert your cushions into their covers and prolongs the life of the foam.
